Vancouver Real Estate

Vancouver is the fourth largest city in Washington and has seen incredible growth in the last decade. In 2018, the new Waterfront development opened bringing new restaurants, wineries, and apartments to the edge of the Columbia River. New restaurants have followed along with several hotels and condominium developments which will open over the next 18 months.

During the spring and summer, Vancouver is home to multiple Farmer’s Markets, the largest of which takes place in Esther Short Park in downtown Vancouver. Other markets though are open on both the north and east side of town. These markets provide residents opportunities for fresh produce, flowers, artisan breads and other goods, as well as plants for home gardening.

Vancouver has an excellent health care system, served by two major hospitals (PeaceHealth Southwest and Legacy Salmon Creek). Legacy Salmon Creek was recently voted one of the 25 most beautiful hospitals in the world. One of the largest medical providers, The Vancouver Clinic, has over ten locations throughout Clark County.

History lovers will enjoy visiting the Historic Trust and the Academy Building, historic sites that pay tribute to the Vancouver’s role in the growth of the Pacific Northwest. The Trust property is home to many historic buildings, including the Marshall House where General George C. Marshall lived while stationed in Vancouver prior to World War II.

Vancouver also has a rapidly growing beer scene, with microbreweries throughout the city and surrounding area. In the summer, the patio area of Heathen Feral House in downtown is a great spot to soak in the sunshine and enjoy one of their 20+ original brews on tap.
